Files, pages, and manual input
Choose the right capture method and handle duplicates, attachments, and parser failures.
Web pages
Use the browser extension for authenticated or dynamically rendered pages. Public URLs can be submitted directly. Confirm the main-content region so navigation, comments, and recommendations do not become article text.
Files
TXT and Markdown parse directly. A Markdown ZIP can safely preserve referenced images. PDF, office files, images, audio, and video enter document or media parsing when needed. Large files can take longer.
Manual input
Use it for meeting fragments, dictated notes, or short text that cannot be fetched. Add provenance and do not label an unverified personal judgment as an external fact.
Duplicate sources
DraPub attempts to identify the same URL or file content, but distinct versions can both matter. Compare time, body, and metadata before merging; do not delete evidence based on title alone.
