The prompt

Subject: Giant marine creatures hovering over Shanghai's skyline, including a massive humpback whale, a giant manta ray, an elegant and ancient nautilus, a swarm of ethereal glowing jellyfish, and a colossal shark. All creatures maintain realistic anatomical structures, immense scale, and slow, weighty movements, with a beautiful, natural, cinematic appearance—never monstrous or cheaply CG. City architecture, crowds, airplanes, the river, vehicles, cloud layers, and landmarks serve as scale references.

Scene: A montage of Shanghai's giant wonders advancing from early morning to late night. The timeline progresses from pale blue morning mist, clear morning, post-rain afternoon, orange-purple dusk, and into dense fog at night. Shanghai Tower, Jin Mao Tower, SWFC, Oriental Pearl Tower, Huangpu River, elevated highways, airplane windows, and rain-slicked streets participate in the narrative, carrying space, scale, and emotional shifts.

Music: No background music or melody—only live environmental sounds and natural sound effects: river wind, distant boat horns, low engine hum inside the aircraft cabin, subtle window vibrations, suppressed passenger exclamations, wind against glass curtain walls, cloud-layer airflow, raindrops, tires rolling over wet pavement, low-frequency vibrations of massive creatures, and the echoing air in the fog.

Shot 1 – Early morning: The camera pushes forward steadily at Huangpu River water level, an ultra-wide establishing shot revealing the Lujiazui skyline and Oriental Pearl Tower veiled in pale blue morning mist. A full-bodied humpback whale slowly swims across the sky above the skyscrapers, as if navigating through an ocean of air. The whale's back is tinged dark blue-grey by dawn light, with soft golden rim light along its body contours; as it passes, shadows from its belly glide slowly over rooftops and the river surface, while morning mist trails behind like flowing water. Small boats, riverside vehicles, and tiny figures atop buildings serve as scale references. One whale-tail swing gently pushes aside a patch of fog, and the camera tilts upward along the curve of the tail.

Shot 2 – Morning: The camera cuts to the interior of a passenger aircraft flying over Shanghai. The frame begins from a window-seat passenger's POV—first revealing the oval window, faint reflections on the glass, cloud layers, and the distant Huangpu River and Lujiazui skyline shrinking below. Outside the window, a giant manta ray is flying parallel to the aircraft, its enormous wingspan spanning the entire sea of clouds like a living deep-blue aircraft. Its back displays a gradient of deep blue and silver-grey under sunlight, wingtips undulating slowly, revealing soft pale textures and tiny water droplets on its underside. The manta glides gracefully past the window, wing edges brushing through cloud layers, casting massive fluid shadows. Cabin passengers appear only as partial silhouettes—some leaning slowly toward the window, others raising hands to shield their eyes from the sun. The camera cuts to an extreme close-up of the manta's eye and wingtip, then pulls back to the window's wide view, highlighting the immense scale relationship between creature, plane, city, and clouds.

Shot 3 – Post-rain afternoon: The camera begins from a reflection in a puddle on a wet elevated highway, the water mirroring grey-blue sky and building silhouettes. The camera slowly rises to an extreme low-angle upward shot, where post-rain clouds drift between buildings like a soft sea surface. A giant nautilus emerges slowly from deep within the mist. Its spiraled shell is composed of pearl white, pale sea-green, soft rose-gold, and muted bronze tones, its surface covered with delicate mother-of-pearl luster, layered growth lines, and traces of rainwater. It resembles not a spaceship, but a floating structure formed by an ancient shell—its spiral architecture elegant, complete, and natural. Sunlight breaks through the clouds, casting soft iridescent refractions across the shell's curved surfaces; the interior opening is filled with semi-transparent mist, occasionally revealing warm golden air within. The shot first establishes the scale relationship between the nautilus and the city with a wide shot, then cuts to beautiful close-ups of spiral textures, water droplets, and shell edges, finally following its slow horizontal traverse across the sky as the shell's curve creates a circular match cut into the next shot.

Shot 4 – Dusk: The nautilus's circular curve transforms into the transparent bell of a jellyfish. The sky becomes a gradient of orange-gold, pale pink, lavender purple, and deep cobalt blue, cloud layers bathed in soft pink-gold sunset light. The camera rises slowly from behind the crowd along the Bund waterfront as a swarm of giant glowing jellyfish emerge from distant cloud seas—like a floating dream garden in the sky, drifting slowly toward the Oriental Pearl Tower. The jellyfish bells are translucent with a pearlescent quality, their interiors laced with delicate blue-purple, silver-white, and pale golden light veins that pulse slowly like breathing. Their tentacles are not terrifying long threads, but soft, silk-like light ribbons that bend, overlap, and drift through the clouds like underwater plants and dancing gauze. The jellyfish maintain natural spacing, forming layered foreground, midground, and background planes. As they pass by high-rises, soft blue-purple light shadows flow across glass curtain walls and the Huangpu River like water ripples, the city bathed in a dreamy underwater world. The camera cuts to a macro close-up inside one jellyfish's bell, where tiny light particles flow slowly along its translucent structure, then pulls back to a full composition of the jellyfish swarm, Oriental Pearl Tower, and the dusk city. The crowd appears only as small-scale silhouettes, quietly gazing upward at this beautiful and impossible sky migration.

Shot 5 – Late night: The perspective shifts to a dashcam view on Shanghai's elevated highway. Headlights cut through thick fog, wet pavement reflecting orange-yellow streetlights. Distant skyscrapers appear dim and faint, and a massive shadow emerges—then a shark's dorsal fin glides slowly above the fog layer. The camera remains in a low fixed position, carrying only subtle real-car body vibrations. The shark gradually takes form in the fog, its immense body spanning the sky, its vast jaw and skin texture illuminated only by ambient city light, appearing as a cold blue-grey semi-silhouette. The shark's shadow engulfs the car roof and windshield; the driver lets out a short startled gasp, raindrops on the glass darkened by the shadow. Avoid exaggerated glowing effects—emphasize realistic fog bodies, wet road surfaces, and physically accurate light feedback. The oppressive late-night atmosphere forms a stark contrast with the dreamy beauty of the dusk jellyfish.

Shot 6 – Night closure: The camera pulls slowly outward from inside the vehicle, rising to an aerial city-wide view above the elevated highway. The giant shark gradually disappears after passing through the cloud layers, the Oriental Pearl Tower appearing impossibly small beneath it. The dense fog closes back in, and distant city lights regain their orderly rhythm. In the puddles on the wet road, blue-purple light shadows of jellyfish and the blurred silhouette of the shark briefly appear, then gradually fade as raindrop ripples spread. This complete montage traces a full timeline of Shanghai's sky giants—from the early morning whale, to the morning manta ray seen through the airplane window, to the afternoon pearl-shell nautilus, to the dusk dreamlike jellyfish swarm, and finally to the late-night giant shark. Each shot maintains clear spatial relationships, real scale, and slow, weighty motion, together resembling a surreal poetic documentary inadvertently captured by city residents.
